Wedding in the mountains and a tale of two towns and the lake in between.

It has been a long time since my last post, however a lot has happened since then. To start with I have had to finally move outside London which was quite uncomfortable for me at the beginning. I have often boasted in the past that I could not live anywhere outside London, but as they say “change is the only constant thing”.

In the spirit of change sweeping everywhere and everyone (a new government in Nigeria my home country, Britain’s exit from the European union and with it a change in the Prime Minister and Donald Trump winning the republican nomination), I have moved into a new office which would be the head office for all my operations and as such would ensure that I regularly update my blog. It has been difficult doing this from home which had for a while doubled as my office.

To my blog, someone has advised that it be travel advisory instead because most of my blogs have been on my travels, well the jury is still out on that but meanwhile, I would continue to dump my thoughts here as well as journals of my travels and pictures from my collective.

We were invited sometime in June by a wonderful couple to their wedding in Italy. I had never been to the country before so I said yes as soon as we got the invite, in this case I was not going to let my wife give any reasons why we could not go, I had to visit Italy. The bride to be had regaled us with a story of her visit to the wedding location as a kid which was an area known as Malcesine on the border between Verona and Brescia, and how enthralled she was with the mountains and lake. At the end of the story, I was convinced that come June 22^nd I would be enjoying the sunshine and the scenery of Limón Sul Garda ( that’s were we got a hotel and a town on the Brescia side of the Lake Garda which separates Limóne Sul Garda from Malcesine which was in Brescia on the other side of the lake.

For any traveller with interest in photography, this area is the perfect setting. It is a mixture of mountains and sea, beautiful but ancient architecture, tasty pizza and antique shops. The mountains on either side and the rays of sunlight peeping through gives an almost surreal atmosphere. I was glad I took my camera and as expected I captured some amazing views. Recommended travel destination any day.

Hola Andalusia, Hola Malaga!

Hello All,

Quite a long time since i visited my blog, doesn't mean my camera has not been busy, far from it. Considering how long it has been and all that has happened, i would love to say happy christmas and Valentine in arrears and i hope the year is shaping up to be an exciting and promising one? I for one hope to visit a lot more places and enthral you with more pictures on my travels.

Speaking of valentine, i did visit spain for the valentine weekend, it was my intention to visit Mallorca but somewhere between making the booking an other things, i booked a trip to Malaga instead. I have never been to Mallorca, but the trip to Malaga turned out to be very interesting. I did see as much as i could about this Andalusian city and was i impressed? I was particularly fascinated by the port town of Puerto Banus, the fish dishes, original Sangria and the amazing people. I have added a few pictures just in case you ever think of visiting. Highly recommended.

Miami: People,beauty and the endless coastline.

A very happy new year i wish you all. Hope the festivities just past have been  good to you. Hope you laughed and spent time with some wonderful people or visited some new and exciting places?
I did have a fabulous holiday, one i had planned for that time of the year as i needed to get the timing and weather just right.I needed a combination of sun, sea , heat and water . Someone did sell  Miami to me as the perfect destination and so miami i had to go for 3 weeks.
The weather is wonderful at that time of the year and witnesses its highest influx of tourist ( it is often difficult to get a hotel at the iamb beach if not pre booked months in advance). Located in the southern part of florida, Miami boasts of an average daily temperature of 25 degrees Celsius in december and a seemingly endless coastline which could mean beach after beach for the enthusiastic tourist. Miami has a huge hispanic community and as such Spanish was spoken quite freely even at the shops, hotels and most public places, that is not to say other nationalities were not represented, however like  was reminded it is quite difficult to conclude at that time of the year due to the number of visitors. From the shores to the bay and beach area, Miami is a kaleidoscope of people and architecture. As always it was a pleasure to be able to capture as much as i can the beauty of this place, its openness and warmness. My camera i hand, i did capture my experience of this wonderful destination.
