Amsterdam

I had heard so much about Amsterdam and have made up my mind to visit one day. Much of what we hear of course is about the famous red light district and the girls on display, the weed, the partying and the booze. However very little has been said about the food, oh yeah the food. I had stayed at the Tulip Inn at the Amsterdam riverside and the food was out of this world. This is not restricted to that hotel alone but every single restaurant i had visited.

The architecture in Amsterdam is divine and lives a lasting memory, my visit to the Rijksmusuem was simply inspiring. They have such history as exemplified by the works of Rembrandt and Amsterdam favorite son Vincent Van Goh

Finally how can i forget the warmth of its people, agreed most people you come across are foreigners on a trip to amsterdam like myself, but the average dutch person i met was so warm and ready to engage me in conversation mostly about the proud heritage of the Dutch as well as the fact that its a destination others envy. Oh did i forget to add the bicycles?

Welcome to Amsterdam, and the high and the party never stops.
