Bleeding my London

The title of my post would not doubt seem strange for those who do not know or have not heard about the book by Geoff Nicholson titled " Bleeding London" or the ambitious project to photograph all the streets in London which is being spear headed by the Royal Photographic Society gallery. Now to be honest i had never heard of the book, not because it isn't a good book but because i am not much of a reader of fiction, i rather prefer Non-fiction and even at that there are a lot of books i have not read. The ambitious project to take all the streets in London however caught my interest.

I have lived in London now for the past 5 years and i must say London is a photographers heaven, but then again i cannot claim t have visited a lot of countries. But London to me and all those who have visited is a lovely place for the man with the camera. The more popular monuments like the Trafalgar square, the Buckingham palace, the London eye to mention a few could have any photographer or photography enthusiast salivating but beyond that is a city of fashion, culture, diversity,politics you name it. Every single street or turn gives you something or someone to snap.As such it was share joy for me to be able to make a collection of some of the lovely neighborhoods around my vicinity and others i pass through on my daily journeys.

Here are some of them, you may find some familiar if you live in London. Also you could also be part of this project if you live in London by visiting the link below to register;
